Peace of Mind

Tranquility and peace of mind are paramount to a well balanced lifestyle. Important elements include our relationships with friends and loved ones, the work we choose, our past times and interests, and our down time; the time we spend alone. I hope to share articles, recommendations for getaways, meditation exercises, spa listings, and much more that will help you achieve the quality of life you were born to live.

Inhale -- Exhale -- Inhale -- Exhale

Couple Remember to breathe.  If you are anything like me, when you are under stress, you may not remember to exhale.  I constantly find my self holding my breath when I have several demanding tasks on my plate.  Holding your breath like this can't be very good for your body.  You are robbing both your body and brain of the valuable oxygen it needs to optimally function.  So when I find myself all stressed out and holding my breath, I take a break and find 10 minutes to focus on my breathing.  I sit quietly, and think of nothing other than my breath coming from my nose onto my upper lip.  I find that I am more relaxed afterward and able to concur the jobs at hand.
